SULLIVAN, WARD, ASHER & PATTON, P.C. is pleased to announce that John D. McClune has joined the firm as an associate attorney. 

Currently, John is litigating complex labor and pension benefit cases, including recent opioid multidistrict litigation involving various union groups, health funds and pension funds.   His practice will focus on fringe benefits funds, businesses, labor organizations, trade associations, and individuals in matters of employee benefit, labor and employment law. 

Prior to joining SULLIVAN, WARD, ASHER & PATTON, P.C., John was a partner with a multi-office, boutique aviation litigation practice.  John is recognized as an authority on aviation litigation, both in the United States and abroad. In conjunction with his practice, he is a frequent speaker on aviation law and appellate topics, and is the author of numerous recognized legal briefs and publications, cited by federal judges as authoritative in aviation law.

John also serves as an aviation and mass disaster law consultant, an appellate law consultant, and a briefing/research consultant, and has provided legal counsel to three Michigan corporations.

John received his law degree from Wayne State University School of Law, Detroit, MI, J.D., 1994 and his undergraduate from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI, B.B.A., 1991, magna cum laude
