The jury returned a No Cause Verdict in a medical malpractice/wrongful death case where it was alleged that a radiologist failed to properly report findings on chest x-ray resulting in a delay in diagnosis of Stage IV lung cancer. At trial, defense proved to the Jury that the radiologist clearly interpreted the x-ray and recommended CT examination of the chest for further confirmation of possible neoplastic process.  The radiologist’s recommendation was not followed by the internist resulting in the patient’s eventual death. The internist was also a Defendant but he settled out of the case and pointed the finger at our client. The jury did not buy the attempted blame game of the Co-Defendant or his counsel.  We made no settlement offers in this case.
