John M. Toth presented a risk management lecture at the 2015 State Conference & Great Lakes Conference in Dearborn, Michigan on February 7, 2015.
The lecture, sponsored by the Podiatric Insurance Company of America, outlined two actual podiatric malpractice claims. The learning objectives were to understand the importance of proper documentation, identify problematic areas in the progress notes, differentiate between quantity of documentation and quality, and what can be done to improve documentation with EMRs.
