Sullivan, Ward, Asher & Patton, P.C. Welcomes Kenneth Gold
SOUTHFIELD -- The law firm of Sullivan, Ward, Asher & Patton, P.C. announces the arrival of new attorney, Kenneth H. Gold.
Gold joins Sullivan Ward's Tomkins Team, specializing in corporate real estate law and acquisitions.
In his practice, Gold has vast experience in corporate transactional law. He served as lead counsel for General Motors Corporation during its divestiture of Delphi Corporation. He is expert in security matters including initial public offerings, negotiating asset and stock purchase agreements, defense of hostile tender offerings and drafting 1933 and 1934 Act filings.
Gold received his Bachelor's degree from Babson College and earned his Juris Doctor degree and LLM from New York University School of Law. He is a member of the Council of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and has served as co-chair of its Regulations of Securities Committee. He is authorized to practice law in Michigan and New York.
Gold is a resident of Saugatuck, MI.

SOUTHFIELD -- The law firm of Sullivan, Ward, Asher & Patton, P.C. announces the arrival of two new attorneys, Kenneth J. Clarkson and James W. Low.
Clarkson joins Sullivan Ward's Corporate Practice Group, specializing in real estate law, including complex real estate transactions and financing.
Low joins Sullivan Ward as a member of the Specialty Litigation Practice Group. Low concentrates his practice in professional liability litigation, including the defense of doctors and lawyers.
In his practice, Clarkson represents both borrowers and lenders in sophisticated financial transactions, including multi-family residential properties, commercial shopping centers and office buildings throughout the nation. He has extensive experience in real estate financing and in such real estate development procedures as construction, pre-construction and acquisitions. He also lectures regularly at seminars involving real estate matters.
Clarkson graduated from the University of Michigan in 1976 and earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1979 from the University of Michigan Law School, He is a member of the American, Oakland and Livingston County bar associations. He is authorized to practice law in Michigan and Florida.
He also handles real estate litigation, employment litigation, and general civil litigation. While the majority of Low's practice is devoted to trial-level litigation in state and federal courts, he has considerable experience in the appellate courts, as well.
Low graduated from Michigan State University in 1998 and earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law in 2001. He is involved in numerous bar association leadership activities, including the Executive Counsel for the State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section, the Board of Directors of the Oakland County Bar Association New Lawyer Committee, the Steering Committee for the Defense Research Institute Professional Responsibility Section, the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, and the American Inns of Court as a barrister. He is also a member of the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Section, the Association of Defense Trial Counsel, the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel.
Low has published numerous articles on professional liability and technology for the Defense Research Institute and has lectured on professional liability issues for the State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section.
