Seth P. Tompkins concentrates his practice in creditor’s rights, such as loan enforcement for financial institutions. A substantial portion of his practice is also dedicated towards transactional work for both individuals and financial institutions such as loan transactions and real estate transactions, with a special focus on business transfers for his client’s licensed by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission.
Mr. Tompkins graduated from Wayne State University Law School in 2001. While in Law School, he distinguished himself by becoming a two time recipient of the Donald E. Barris Award for excellence in trial advocacy in 2000. In 2001 he won the Texas Trial Lawyers Association Regional Trial Competition and went on to represent Wayne State University at the National Competition in Dallas, Texas that same year.
He previously graduated from the James Madison College, Michigan State University in 1995 earning a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Economics and International Relations.
Mr. Tompkins began his legal career with Sullivan, Ward, Asher & Patton, P.C. in 1999, and was made a Shareholder in January, 2008.
