Mr. Felty has practiced law primarily in malpractice litigation for 18 years. He has participated as the primary defense counsel in over 70 civil jury trials throughout the State of Michigan. His trial experience has encompassed approximately 45% dental malpractice cases, 40% medical malpractice cases, and 5% general insurance defense claims.
In addition to trial work, Mr. Felty has been a guest speaker for the Detroit District of the Michigan Dental Association at its Annual Meeting on multiple occasions, the U of M Bunting Periodontal Study Club, Mid-Michigan Dental Society, UDM Dental School, ProAssurance, Medical Protective Insurance Company, Physicians Insurance Association of America, Ladera Ranch Implant Institute, and several private dental/medical practices. He is always available for consultation defending cases, preparing witnesses for deposition or trial, and cross examination of opposing expert witnesses.
In addition to malpractice litigation and consultation, Mr. Felty has represented several members of the dental and medical professions in state licensing cases.
