James W. Low concentrates his practice in professional liability litigation including the defense of doctors and lawyers. He also handles real estate litigation, employment litigation, and general civil litigation. While the majority of Mr. Low’s practice is devoted to trial-level litigation in state and federal courts, he has considerable experience in the appellate courts as well.
Mr. Low is involved in numerous bar association leadership activities including the Executive Counsel for the State Bar of Michigan - Young Lawyers Section, the Board of Directors of the Oakland County Bar Association - New Lawyer Committee, the Steering Committee for the DRI Professional Responsibility Section, the American Bar Association - Young Lawyers Division, and the American Inns of Court as a Barrister. He is also a member of the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Section, the Association of Defense Trial Counsel, the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel.
Mr. Low has published numerous articles on professional liability and technology for the Defense Research Institute, and has lectured on professional liability issues for the State Bar of Michigan - Young Lawyers Section.
